Grandma’s Asters
Sometimes amazing things happen in life.
Today I received this message:
‘Hi, Elena, yesterday I bought your grandmother’s painting on Avito”.
The work with asters on a red background was painted at our old dacha in 1986. Grandma loved asters and always planted them. This is amazing that the modern technlogy can literally bring back lost things to us.
The girl who bought the painting found me on the Internet, wrote me a letter, and now this painting is here. How good it is that there are such people who do not throw art on the street (I mean the seller) and who are sincerely interested in authors (I mean the buyer). Marina (the buyer’s name is the same as my mum’s) now has not only the work, but also a whole story connected with it. I am happy that the painting is alive and in good hands. Very soon I will show other ‘foundlings’. These are some works of my grandfather — Grigory Yanin. Life goes on!
