Isolation-2020: thoughts in a locked space

The period of isolation in 2020 became for many a time when the familiar world contracted sharply to the walls of a home, the nearest window, and a small fragment of the street beyond it. For an artist, this translated into a particular kind of experience: the customary large formats and extended outdoor sessions gave way to small, almost improvisational works made from whatever was at hand.

The “Isolation — 2020” gallery is more a visual diary than a classical painting series. Gathered here are “thoughts” from the time of the pandemic: sketches, finds, experiments with form and colour, photographed and processed on a mobile phone in order to preserve the fragile feeling of the moment.

This section is a reminder that even in an enclosed space, it remains possible to observe, to notice, and to transform reality. Perhaps among these small works you will recognise your own experience of those months — the anxiety, the pause, the unexpected points of support.

Try browsing this gallery slowly, as one turns the pages of a personal diary in which each image holds a fragment of a shared lived time.
